What this is

Effective September 8, 2026. voltabench is a teaching tool for building, running and testing diagrams and programs. Access is by invitation, normally through a course you are enrolled in. Using the service means you accept these terms and the privacy statement, which governs everything about your data.

Your account

Academic integrity

Work you submit for a grade must be your own, subject to whatever collaboration rules your instructor sets. Submitting someone else's work, or accessing another student's work without permission, is an academic-integrity matter handled by your institution under its own policy, not by us.

Every submission is recorded with a timestamp and its full run evidence, and voltabench keeps a record of how the work was built. The privacy statement describes exactly what that record contains.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

Code runs in an isolated sandbox with no network access and hard time and memory limits. Deliberate attempts to escape those limits will end your access and be reported to your institution. If you find a genuine security flaw, report it to support@voltabench.com rather than exploiting it; good-faith reports are welcome and will not be treated as a violation.

Your work

You keep ownership of the diagrams and code you create. You grant us only the permission needed to run, store, grade and display them within your course. We do not publish your work, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models. Research use is de-identified and described in the privacy statement.

Availability

This is a pilot service and is provided as is, without warranty. It may be unavailable for maintenance or unexpected faults. Deadlines, extensions and any allowance for an outage are set by your instructor, not by the tool. Keep your own copy of important work.

Ending access

Access ends when your enrollment ends, or if these terms are broken. Your institution decides what happens to your coursework after that, since it is part of their academic record.
